Iranian movie ‘Kupal’ has snatched fresh award at the FICMA 2017 film event in Mexico.
Written and directed by Kazem Mollaie, the movie grabbed the best film award at the international section of the festival.
‘Kupal’ narrates the story of Dr. Ahmad Kupal, who is a taxidermist hunter, facing a challenge just before the New Year.
“You cannot be alone in the world,” Mollai, noted, giving a clue to the philosophical origin of the film, adding that, “The world is a strange place. Here, whoever shoots is the one who gets killed.”
Notable cast members of the film include Levon Haftvan, Nazanin Farahani, Pouria Rahimi Sam, Hossein Shamsabadi, Vahan Salimzadeh and Mitra Asiaee.
The latest edition of de Cine con Medios Alternativos (FICMA) which focuses on new technologies in cinema was held from 22-25 November in Mexico City, the capital city of Mexico.
The Iranian flick has been awarded at severval film events across the globe.
